Burnley boss Sean Dyche eyes Danny Ings stay

Burnley manager Sean Dyche says that he is under no pressure to sell striker Danny Ings during the transfer window.

Sean Dyche has insisted that Burnley do not need to sell striker Danny Ings during the January transfer window.

A host of Premier League clubs have been linked with a move for the 21-year-old, who has scored 19 goals in 27 appearances for the Clarets this season.

Having sold Charlie Austin to Queens Park Rangers during the summer, Burnley boss Dyche has said that the club is on a secure financial footing.

"The club have made the financial position clear but they've also made clear that we're solid financially," he told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.

"We haven't got bucket loads of money to spend, which is why we carry a small squad, but we're in a solid position so I think there are some wise men who run the club and they'll deal with the situation as appropriate if and when.

"But there have been no calls to me. I don't worry about any of that sort of stuff because how can I do anything about it - if someone wishes to make a big offer [for Ings] it's their prerogative."

Ings joined Burnley from Bournemouth in August 2011.
