Middlesbrough defender Ben Gibson has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Burnley.
The Clarets are yet to make a first-team signing this summer, with manager Sean Dyche allegedly failing in his efforts to sign Craig Dawson from West Bromwich Albion.
According to Sky Sports News, Burnley have now turned their attention to trying to tempt Middlesbrough into selling Gibson for £12m.
The 25-year-old still has four years remaining on his contract at the Riverside Stadium, but head coach Tony Pulis is said to be willing to sell the Englishman for the right price in order to generate more transfer funds.
Gibson has made over 200 appearances for Boro in all competitions, but it appears only a matter of time before the North-East outfit cash in on the academy graduate.
Leicester City have also been linked with a move for Gibson before August 9.
