Khalid Boulahrouz in talks with Brondby

Former Chelsea defender Khalid Boulahrouz is locked in contract talks with Danish outfit Brondby.

Former Chelsea defender Khalid Boulahrouz is currently undergoing contract talks with Danish outfit Brondby.

The 31-year-old, who has also played for Sevilla and Stuttgart, spent last season with Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon before leaving on a free transfer earlier this month.

"We can confirm that we are in negotiations with Khalid Boulahrouz," Brondby director Per Rud said on the club's official website.

"I have had some discussions with his agent and we feel that he is an interesting player. It's too early to tell if he will end up with a contract at the club."

The Dutchman has made 35 appearances for his country.
