Wayne Brown to leave Bristol Rovers

Wayne Brown is expected to leave Bristol Rovers in January.

Midfielder Wayne Brown will leave Bristol Rovers in January, according to manager Mark McGhee.

The 24-year-old, who came through the youth academy at Fulham, is reportedly planning to return to Finland, where he spent a year on loan when at the Premier League club.

"Wayne decided on the back of the offer that we made him that he didn't think it was enough and he is going to be leaving the club in the New Year," PA Sport quotes McGhee as saying.

"I think it is probably the right thing for him.

"He has been a great professional. He trains well every day and gives you 100% every time he plays, and we wish him well."

Brown has made 55 league appearances for Bristol Rovers.
