Garry Kenneth leaves Bristol Rovers

Bristol Rovers defender Garry Kenneth leaves the League Two outfit by mutual consent.

Bristol Rovers chairman Nick Higgs has revealed that Garry Kenneth has departed the League Two outfit by mutual consent.

The 26-year-old defender was just 16 months into his three-year deal, but has been allowed to leave following a host of injury problems.

"Unfortunately things have not worked out with Garry, but the club would like to wish him well for the future," Higgs told the club's official website.

"We hope his injury problems have now cleared up and that he can go on to resurrect his career elsewhere."

Kenneth has not played since January after suffering a serious knee injury.
