Bristol City boss Derek McInnes calls for his defence to stop shipping goals in order to stop his side's poor form.

Bristol City manager Derek McInnes has called upon his team to stop leaking goals.

City fell to a 2-1 home defeat at the hands to Hull City to make it four losses in a row and seven games without a win for the Robins.

Their winless streak has seen them concede 17 times, and McInnes believes that a sturdier defence is the key to stopping the rot.

"We're on a poor run but we've been here before and we've worked our way out of it. We have to do that again," said McInnes.

"We've shown we can score goals this season. We have to stop shipping goals. It's all about trying to improve our situation. The players are working hard and we've got to get behind them to help halt the slide we are on. We need a run ourselves.

"There's no magic cure, we just have to keep working hard to get through this period."

City currently sit 23rd in the Championship, one point from safety.
