Phil Parkinson confirms that he would rather stay at Bradford than take charge of Championship side Blackpool.

Phil Parkinson has said that he is hoping for an extension to his contract with Bradford City.

The Bantams manager, whose current deal is due to end in the summer, has been linked to the vacant manager's post at Championship side Blackpool.

Parkinson told Sky Sports News: "I'm out of contract in the summer but we are in the middle of talks about a new deal and it'll get done I'm sure.

"Blackpool are an excellent club, but I'm really enjoying it here, so are the staff, and hopefully we'll get our futures resolved sooner rather than later.

"You just have to go with your gut feeling. These chairmen have been good to me, and I feel at the moment a lot can be achieved at this club."

The League Two side will look to book a place in the final of the Capital One Cup this week, having beaten Aston Villa in the first leg of their semi-final earlier this month.
