Borussia Dortmund forward Michy Batshuayi has claimed that he was racially abused by Atalanta BC supporters during his side's recent Europa League clash with the Italian outfit.
The on-loan Chelsea player took to Twitter in the wake of his team's 4-3 aggregate victory over the Serie A team to condemn some of the opposition's fans for making "monkey noises" from the stands.
"2018 and still racists monkey noises in the stands... really?" he tweeted.
"Hope you have fun watching the rest of the Europa League on TV while we are through."
Last month, Atalanta were hit with a suspended one-game stand closure by Italian football's governing body after a number of their fans subjected Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly to racial abuse.
2018 and still racists monkey noises in the stands ... really ?! 🤦🏾♂️ hope you have fun watching the rest of @EuropaLeague on TV while we are through 🙊🙈🙉 #SayNoToRacism #GoWatchBlackPanther ✌🏾
