Gary Cahill has insisted that Bolton Wanderers' poor start to the season has not affected his confidence.
The defender has been linked with high-profile moves to Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, yet the Trotters are currently bottom of the Premier League table.
The 25-year-old has also seen his international stock rise after being involved in the last three England matches, despite Wanderers' defensive frailties.
"What has happened doesn't knock my confidence," he told Sky Sports News. "It gets me down, it disappoints me, because I'm a defender and I hate conceding goals.
"It does grind on me a bit but the run of games we've had, it is no surprise we are down the bottom end of the table.
"But those games are over now and we look forward to getting the season started."
Bolton continue their Premier League campaign away at Wigan Athletic on Saturday.
