Barry Ferguson agrees to join Blackpool from Birmingham.

Birmingham midfielder Barry Ferguson has agreed to join Blackpool.

A fee between the two clubs was agreed last week and Ferguson has now negotiated personal terms and passed a medical, according to Sky Sports.

It is believed that the Scottish international will sign a two-year-deal at Bloomfield Road with the option of a further 12 months.

The left-footed central midfielder is of the same mould as already-departed compatriot Charlie Adam, who signed for Liverpool last week.

Ferguson, 27, becomes Seasiders boss Ian Holloway's second midfield signing of the week, having taken Argentinian Gerardo Bruna from Liverpool on Tuesday.
