Nicola Zigic and Kevin Phillips are only named among the subs for the Championship playoff semi-final between Blackpool and Birmingham.

Birmingham City's Nikola Zigic and Blackpool's Kevin Phillips have been left on the bench for the Championship playoff semi-final first leg at Bloomfield Road tonight.

Zigic had been declared fit earlier this week, but Blues boss Chris Hughton has reverted to a 4-5-1 formation and only named the Serbian among the substitutes.

Youngster Nathan Redmond is awarded a start and will support lone striker Marlon King in attack.

Former Birmingham striker Kevin Phillips was expected to start for the hosts Gary Taylor-Fletcher is preferred to the veteran as the Tangerines line up 4-3-3.
