Blackpool manager Ian Holloway believes that his players should be proud of their achievements this season following their 3-1 win over Bristol City.

Blackpool manager Ian Holloway has declared himself proud after seeing his side come from behind to beat Bristol City 3-1 on Saturday.

Three second-half goals gave Blackpool the valuable points, dispelling Holloway's fears that his players were still suffering from their 4-1 loss to West Ham United on Tuesday.

"Our budget is a quarter of West Ham's so why my players should beat themselves up over losing to them I can't imagine. It looked like that was what they were doing in the first half when our play lacked confidence and the ball kept running under feet," said the Bristolian boss.

"The lads should be proud of themselves for what they have done this season and by the end they showed what a good team they are.

"Brett Ormerod and Keith Southern are old warhorses, but they are still terrific players, as they showed when they went on as substitutes. We could have scored even more goals in the closing stages."

The result moves Blackpool up to fourth in the Championship, six points off the automatic promotion spots.
