Caretaker manager Gary Bowyer has told his Blackburn Rovers players that they need to fight to stay in the Championship.
Rovers have won just three times since the turn of the year and as a result they have dropped to 19th in the league table, with only goal difference keeping them out of the relegation zone.
With seven matches left to play, Bowyer has urged his squad to show some of their battling qualities.
"We're going to have to [show some fight]. It's as simple as that, we're going to have to, to stay in this division," he told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph. "Everyone is going to be fighting for it and that's exactly what we're going to do.
"Of course the situation is worrying. The football club got relegated from the Premier League last year so we know what it feels like and we certainly don't need it happening again."
Next up for Blackburn is a trip to Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday afternoon.
