Thiago Silva expects to honour Paris Saint-Germain contract

Paris Saint-Germain captain Thiago Silva distances himself from reports linking him with a move to Bayern Munich.

Paris Saint-Germain captain Thiago Silva has distanced himself from reports linking him with a move to Bayern Munich.

The 29-year-old defender is under contract at the Parc des Princes until 2018 and he insists that he intends to honour that deal.

"I want to stay here and I believe I'll see out my contract," Silva told Globo Esporte.

"PSG are one of the biggest clubs in the world nowadays. It's up to us to keep the team that way."

Silva scored his third goal in seven Ligue 1 matches on Sunday as PSG beat Nantes 5-0 to regain their five-point lead over second-placed Monaco.
