Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery has insisted that he will take the challenge of winning the Club World Cup seriously as he looks to cap off a fine year.
The German giants have dominated European football in 2013, winning the Champions League and the European Super Cup as well as picking up the domestic league and cup double in Germany.
Ribery has also had a successful season individually, being nominated alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi for the prestigious FIFA Ballon d'Or award, and the Frenchman is keen to add another piece of silverware to his haul before Bayern finish for their winter break.
"It's been a good year for everyone at Bayern. Now we've got two matches left before going on holiday. We're here to play well, be serious and win the trophy," the Bangkok Post quotes Ribery as saying.
Bayern will face China's Guangzhou Evergrande in the semi-final this evening, hoping to book a spot in Saturday's final.
