Bayern Munich duo Arjen Robben, Jerome Boateng limp off in Champions League clash

Bayern Munich duo Arjen Robben and Jerome Boateng suffer injury blows in the first half of the German club's Champions League semi-final first leg against Real Madrid.

Bayern Munich have suffered a double injury blow in the first half of their Champions League semi-final first leg against Real Madrid.

Arjen Robben pulled up just five minutes into the game at the Allianz Arena and, despite attempting to walk the injury off, he had to be taken off by Jupp Heynckes three minutes later.

The Dutchman limped off the pitch as Thiago Alcantara entered the match in his place, Thomas Muller moving out wide from his central position.

Just 25 minutes later, Jerome Boateng pulled up with what appeared to be a hamstring injury after stretching out to reach the ball and overextending himself, Niklas Sule coming on as a replacement.

Both players will now be a doubt for the second leg of the semi-final tie, which takes place in just six days' time at the Bernabeu.
