Barnsley sign midfielder Martin Woods

Barnsley have completed the signing of midfielder Martin Woods on a deal until the end of the season.

The 28-year-old free agent has been training with the Reds for the past week, and today penned a short-term contract at Oakwell.

The Airdrie-born veteran began his career with Leeds United, before moving to Sunderland.

Woods also enjoyed spells with Rotherham United and Doncaster Rovers, going on to make over 100 appearances for the Keepmoat club.
