Conference Premier roundup: Barnet stay top after beating Forest Green Rovers

Sports Mole rounds up Saturday afternoon's action in the Conference Premier as Barnet stay top, leaving it late to beat Forest Green Rovers.

Bondz N'Gala was the hero for Barnet as his late goal saw them past Forest Green Rovers 2-1 at the New Lawn to ensure they stay atop the Conference Premier.

Andy Yiadom opened the scoring for the Bees on the rebound after a missed John Akinde penalty before Rob Sinclair equalised on the 88-minute mark. Barnet found the winner deep into injury time when N'Gala headed home.

Nine-man Torquay United lost ground in their quest to keep up the pressure on Barnet as they lost a 4-3 thriller to Telford United, who now sit second from bottom.

Halifax remain in second place after playing out a goalless draw with Braintree Town, while Bristol Rovers edged past Southport courtesy of an early Jake Gosling strike.
