Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde says that it is "time to turn the page" on the speculation surrounding Paris Saint-Germain's Neymar.

Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde has insisted that it is "time to turn the page" when it comes to the speculation surrounding Paris Saint-Germain attacker Neymar.

The Brazil international was strongly linked with a move to Camp Nou during the summer transfer window, but the Spanish champions were unable to agree a fee with Thomas Tuchel's side.

Barca director Javier Bordas recently insisted that the club were still interested in signing the 27-year-old, who is due to make his first PSG appearance of the season against Strasbourg this weekend.

Valverde, however, has said that it is time to move on from the speculation surrounding the South American.

"We've spoken about Neymar before, during and after the market and it's time to turn the page," Valverde told reporters at a press conference on Friday.

The Catalan giants are said to be considering dropping their interest in Neymar to pursue a move for Kylian Mbappe in next summer's transfer window.
