Sandro Rosell hints at new deal for Andres Iniesta

Barcelona president Sandro Rosell hints that Andres Iniesta will soon be offered a new contract by the Spanish champions.

Barcelona president Sandro Rosell has hinted that Andres Iniesta will soon be offered a new contract.

The 29-year-old, who is widely regarded as one of the best midfielders in world football, will see his current deal run out in 2015.

Speaking to TV3, Rosell claimed that the club hope "to be able to announce Iniesta's renewal soon."

"Iniesta is one of the cornerstones," he added. "He should have his rightful place behind [Lionel] Messi."

Iniesta, who made his first-team debut for the Catalan outfit in 2002, has played 460 times for the Spanish champions.
