Barcelona forward Paco Alcacer wants to join Real Betis before the summer transfer window closes, according to a report.

Barcelona forward Paco Alcacer reportedly wants to join Real Betis before the end of the month.

Alcacer moved to Barcelona from Valencia in the summer of 2016 and has made 50 appearances for the Catalan outfit, scoring 15 times for the club in all competitions.

The 24-year-old has largely struggled to hold down a first-team spot at Camp Nou, however, and has been strongly linked with a move away in this summer's transfer window.

Borussia Dortmund are the latest club to be credited with an interest, but according to Mundo Deportivo, Alcacer would prefer to stay in Spain this summer, and is open to joining Betis ahead of the transfer deadline.

Watford also reportedly failed with a loan move for Alcacer in the latter stages of the English transfer window.
