Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar is allegedly prepared to pay £17.7m of his own money to force through a return to Barcelona.

Neymar has allegedly told Paris Saint-Germain that he is prepared to pay £17.7m of his own money to help secure a return to Barcelona.

While it is well documented that the La Liga champions are keen to re-sign the Brazil international, they are yet to agree terms with PSG, who have remained firm over their asking price.

There have been reports that Barcelona may be able to make the breakthrough if they pay £120m, plus Ousmane Dembele, Ivan Rakitic and Jean-Clair Todibo.

However, according to Sky Sports News journalist Bryan Swanson, Neymar is willing to contribute to the overall financial package being offered to PSG.

The report adds that no deal has been agreed between the two clubs as they look to find a positive resolution before Monday's deadline.

Neymar has not played any part of PSG's opening four Ligue 1 fixtures this season.
