Luis Suarez: 'Neymar tried to force Barcelona return'

Barcelona forward Luis Suarez says that Neymar "did everything possible" in attempting to secure a summer return to Camp Nou.

Barcelona forward Luis Suarez has claimed that Neymar "did everything possible" to return to Camp Nou during the summer.

The Paris Saint-Germain attacker was strongly linked with a return to Catalonia throughout the transfer window before the Spanish champions were made to admit defeat in their pursuit of the 27-year-old.

The Brazil international will now remain with PSG until at least the January transfer window, and a number of Barca players are said to be unhappy with club chiefs for failing to secure a move.

Suarez has said that Neymar pushed hard for a return to the club this summer, while also revealing that the attacker was warned about leaving Camp Nou in the first place.

"We talked about it at the time," Suarez told Fox Sports Radio. "We told him that there would be no place better than at Barcelona. But it's his decision and he chose that. Now, he did everything possible to return."

The former Santos youngster's lawyers have reportedly found a way to potentially force through a PSG exit in next summer's transfer window.
