Ferran Torres is reportedly prepared to consider his future at Barcelona given his lack of regular starts under Xavi.

Ferran Torres is reportedly growing frustrated with his lack of minutes in the Barcelona side during 2023-24.

In January 2022, Torres was able to end his 18-month stint with Manchester City to return to La Liga with the Catalan giants.

There is an argument for Torres' stint at Camp Nou being regarded as a success, with a total of 19 goals and 11 assists coming from his 90 appearances.

Furthermore, the playmaker featured in all but five of Barcelona's fixtures as they reclaimed the La Liga title in 2022-23, yet he remains in and out of Xavi's starting lineup.

During this campaign, nine starts and 10 substitute outings have been made in all competitions, the 23-year-old being on the pitch for less than half of Barcelona's minutes in the top flight.

Although five goals and one assist have been provided in all competitions, Torres has not completed 90 minutes for Barcelona since the Champions League meeting with Shakhtar Donetsk on October 25.

According to AS, Torres is now prepared to consider his options and a potential exit from Barcelona in 2024.

The report suggests that a lack of relationship between his representatives and Xavi could be a contributory factor, while the imminent arrival of Vitor Roque could have a detrimental effect on Torres's game time.

Gavi's long-term injury has created an opportunity for club officials to fast-track the addition of the Athletico Paranaense attacker to January.

In theory, Barcelona may be open to parting ways with Torres having been waiting for an opportunity to make a substantial cutback in their effort to reduce their financial issues.

While recouping the €55m that they shelled out almost two years is arguably unrealistic, a number of Premier League teams may hold an interest heading into the January transfer window.

Newcastle United were the latest team to be linked with Torres last month, while Tottenham Hotspur are said to be in the market for a versatile attacker in January.

Torres still has over three-and-a-half years remaining on his contract at Barcelona, making a loan switch with an option to buy a plausible method of transfer.
