Barcelona reportedly hold an interest in extending the contract of forward Memphis Depay.
Earlier this year, it appeared likely that the Catalan giants would look to cash in on the Netherlands international during the summer transfer window with his existing deal due to expire in 2023.
At the time, the 28-year-old was not regarded as a first-team regular with manager Xavi prepared to favour other players in the final third.
However, on the back of Depay having recently returned to the fold, Sport claims that club officials may be ready to discuss an extension to his current contract.
The report suggests that Depay, who has 11 goals in 24 La Liga outings during 2021-22, has impressed with his commitment and performances.
The development has contributed to Barcelona allegedly making the decision to not keep Wolverhampton Wanderers loanee Adama Traore on a permanent basis.
