Barcelona vice-president Josep Maria Bartomeu says that they will try to sign Neymar once he becomes available.

Barcelona vice-president Josep Maria Bartomeu is confident that the club will be able to sign Neymar once the player decides that he wants to leave Santos.

The Brazilian international, who has scored 17 goals in 29 caps for his country, has been linked with a move to Europe's elite clubs after netting 129 goals in 209 appearances for Santos.

Bartomeu claims that the Catalan club, who reports claim have a deal in place to capture the 21-year-old before the 2014 World Cup, will try their best to become his next destination.

"He is wanted by half the world. When he says he wants to leave Santos, the club will be there to try and sign him," Bartomeu told AS.

Neymar is personally thought to prefer a move to the Camp Nou.
