Aston Villa sign Adama Traore from Barcelona

Aston Villa sign teenage winger Adama Traore from Barcelona on a five-year contract.

Aston Villa have announced the signing of Adama Traore from Barcelona on a five-year contract.

The 19-year-old is Villa's 10th summer signing, who manager Tim Sherwood described as a "maverick-type player".

"He's a big powerful boy, very quick, dynamic and a maverick-type player," Sherwood told the club website. "Those players are few and far between.

"We're delighted he has chosen Villa to continue his development."

Traore scored one goal in four senior appearances for Barca.
