Andres Iniesta: 'Lionel Messi should end career at Barcelona'

Barcelona playmaker Andres Iniesta says that teammate Lionel Messi should stay at the club the rest of his career.

Andres Iniesta has said that Lionel Messi will not find a better club for him to flourish than Barcelona.

The four-time Ballon d'Or winner has been linked with a switch to Manchester United, while Real Madrid legend Hugo Sanchez claimed that Los Blancos could also make a move for the Barca star.

However, Iniesta has stated that his teammate should stay at Camp Nou for the remainder of his career.

The World Cup winner told Sport: "The club will never have a player like Messi but Messi will also never find a club like Barca. I therefore hope that he ends his career at Barca.

"Style is non-negotiable, but you can make changes. The league is very difficult because it does not depend on us but it is not impossible."

Barca are currently second in La Liga.
