Barcelona vice-president Jordi Cardoner has said that he is "very surprised" to hear Pep Guardiola expressing his disappointment at his treatment by the Spanish club.
The Bayern Munich coach told reporters in a press conference on Thursday that he was unhappy at being contacted by Barca after telling them that he wanted to be left alone after his departure.
"The truth is that I was very surprised [to hear Guardiola's comments]," Cardoner told Mundo Deportivo.
"I left a meeting yesterday afternoon and heard some of it on the radio and when was informed further in seeing Pep's statements and I have not understood.
"I imagine there will be some explanation behind these statements because the relationship between us, and I speak not only for myself but for the president [Sandro Rossell] too, has always been cordial. Maybe Pep should talk to the president to reduce these differences."
Guardiola won 14 trophies in four years at Camp Nou.
