Eric Abidal admits that he could finish his playing career at Monaco, but insists that he has not yet made a decision on his future.

Eric Abidal has admitted that he could finish his career in France with Monaco, but insisted that nothing is concrete yet.

The 33-year-old, who has endured a liver tumour and transplant in recent years, will be leaving Barcelona this summer.

He has said that he wants to continue playing, but doesn't know where it will be just yet.

"I want to continue playing but I don't know where," Abidal told RMC Sport. "I certainly have some options but nothing concrete.

"It would be good to end my career in France with Monaco, but this is not a priority for me. Equally I could go to Paris Saint-Germain or remain in Spain.

"It's obvious that [Monaco] is one of the best options out there. Now I have to make the right choice and take my time in doing so."

Abidal also admitted that a return to Lyon, and even a move to Nice, could also be on the cards.
