Barcelona may include Carles Puyol in the squad for Tuesday's Champions League clash with Bayern Munich after proving his fitness in training.

Barcelona could name Carles Puyol in the squad that travels to Germany for the first leg of their Champions League semi-final with Bayern Munich.

The 35-year-old has been missing since March with a knee injury that required surgery.

The Blaugrana are struggling for cover at centre-back following the knee ligament injury Javier Mascherano sustained during the 2-2 draw against Paris Saint-Germain.

According to Marca, Puyol could be drafted back into the squad for Tuesday's game after returning to training earlier than expected.
