Barcelona star Lionel Messi back training ahead of Celtic trip

Lionel Messi returns to training with Barcelona ahead of Wednesday's Champions League group match against Celtic.

Lionel Messi has resumed training with Barcelona ahead of Wednesday's Champions League clash against Celtic following a bout of illness.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner, who has reportedly opted against opening contract talks with Barca, missed Saturday's goalless draw with Malaga after vomiting in the lead-up to the match.

The Argentine appears in better health today as he was photographed by the club training with his teammates, including Luis Suarez, who also missed the stalemate against Malaga due to suspension.

The Spanish giants will head to Glasgow at the top of Group C after picking up nine points from four games.

Barcelona thumped Celtic 7-1 in their meeting at Camp Nou in September.
