West Ham United have reportedly made an offer for Racing de Santander defender Alvaro.
The 22-year-old came through the ranks at El Sardinero and made his breakthrough into the first team last season, amassing 34 La Liga appearances.
Hammers boss Sam Allardyce has been following Alvaro for some time and has now lodged a bid of £4m for the player after discovering that Atletico Madrid were also tracking him, according to the Daily Mail.
Alvaro was shown 14 yellow cards last season.
