Colombian striker Radamel Falcao has declared that his two seasons with Atletico Madrid were "a dream" thanks to the backing of a fanatical home support.
Falcao is expected to complete a £51m move to mega-rich Monaco later this week after saying goodbye to Atletico fans following last night's goalless draw at home to Mallorca.
The 27-year-old refused to confirm his exit from the Vicente Calderon but paid tribute to the Atletico fans for their fanatical support during his two years in the Spanish capital.
He told W Radio: "I'm very grateful for these two years at Atletico Madrid.
"I never expected to win three titles in so short time, this has been like a dream. Yesterday I lived a very emotional moment I had never lived before with the fans and a club.
"I will never forget it and I don't know how to give them thanks. Right now, I can't talk about my future, there will be time later."
During a successful spell with Atletico the forward helped Diego Simeone's side win the Europa League, European Super Cup and most recently the Copa del Rey.
