Falcao scored twice as Atletico Madrid moved into La Liga's top ten with a 3-0 win over Villarreal this afternoon.
The Colombian broke the deadlock in the 40th minute when he converted Antonio Lopez's cross from close range.
The home side's lead was doubled six minutes after the restart courtesy of another striker from Falcao. The striker was brought down inside the area by Gonzalo Rodriguez and dusted himself down to dispatch the resultant penalty into the net.
Brazilian midfielder Diego made sure of the victory ten minutes from time when sent a side-footed effort past Diego Lopez from 12 yards out.
The victory is Diego Simeone's first since taking charge of Atletico.
