Report: Aston Villa eager to sign Swansea City striker Oliver McBurnie on loan

Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce is hoping to sign Swansea City striker Oliver McBurnie on loan in January, according to reports.

Aston Villa have expressed an interest in signing Swansea City striker Oliver McBurnie on loan, according to reports.

The 21-year-old has made just seven senior appearances for the Swans this season but has impressed with the Under-23 side, bagging seven goals in five games.

Villa, meanwhile, have recently been dealt a blow with the news that Jonathan Kodjia is likely to be ruled out for the season with an ankle injury.

According to the Birmingham Mail, Steve Bruce is eager to snap up McBurnie to ease the burden on Keinan Davis, who remains Villa's only fit attacker.

McBurnie was supposed to make a loan switch to Championship side Barnsley in the summer but the move collapsed a week after the transfer window closed.
