Aston Villa have hired agents to help sell players and raise funds for potential new signings.

Aston Villa have hired agents to help sell their players, according to The Mirror.

Villa are keen to move on several squad players in an effort to raise transfer funds for manager Alex McLeish.

The club's £80m wage bill is currently holding McLeish back in the transfer market as he has to sell before he can buy.

The likes of Carlos Cuellar, Jeam Makoun, Luke Young and Habib Beye can all leave the club, although there have been no firm bids for the players yet.

McLeish has given several agents information on the players he is trying to sell in the hope that they can help raise funds for the potential signings of Alan Hutton and Scott Parker.
