Bournemouth defender Tyrone Mings will reportedly undergo a medical with Aston Villa today ahead of signing for the club on loan for the rest of the season.
The 25-year-old has been used sparingly by Eddie Howe this season, making only seven appearances in all competitions, including just two starts in the Premier League.
As a result the player has attracted interest from a host of Championship clubs this month, including promotion-chasing Nottingham Forest, West Bromwich Albion and Derby County, but Villa now look set to seal the deal.
According to Sky Sports News, Mings is travelling up to the Midlands today for a medical and will then pen terms on an initial loan deal with an option to buy at the end of the campaign.
Dean Smith's side are in the mix for promotion this season and currently sit 10th in the Championship table, four points off the playoff places.
