Liverpool are lining up a move for Aston Villa striker Darren Bent, according to reports.
The Anfield outfit, who are without star striker Luis Suarez for at least eight matches, are understood to be eager to link up Bent with former teammate and fellow England international Stewart Downing, according to The People.
It is expected that the Reds would be willing to match the £24m that the club spent on signing Bent from Sunderland a season ago.
Bent has scored 15 goals in 31 appearances for the Midlands outfit since his arrival last winter.
