Paul Lambert admits that Harry Redknapp's arrival has given Queens Park Rangers "a lift" but remains confident of an Aston Villa win at Loftus Road.

Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert has warned Queens Park Rangers against taking his side lightly on Saturday.

The two teams will face each other at Loftus Road in the 15th round of matches in the Premier League, with QPR at the foot of the league standings.

"Harry [Redknapp] going in there will automatically give them a lift because he is a brilliant manager," The Mirror quotes him as saying.

"The crowd will get right behind them from the off and the onus is on QPR to make the running. But we are a threat, that is for sure. We have got lads up top that can hurt you.

"We would be happy to win the game for ourselves and keep them down there. QPR's position is surprising because the squad is really strong and some of those lads have had big careers. But it can happen in football."

Villa will head into the match just a point above the relegation zone.
