Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert is confident that his players will start winning matches following Saturday's 1-1 draw with Norwich.

Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert has insisted that his players have what it takes to turn around their poor start to the season following Saturday's 1-1 draw with Norwich City.

The Villans are now just three points above the relegation zone after Christian Benteke's goal was cancelled out by Michael Turner at Villa Park.

"I've got great belief in the players - that won't change," said Lambert. "I always go into every game believing we'll win it and I won't change my thinking."

Next up for Villa is a trip to Swindon Town in the fourth round of the Capital One Cup on Tuesday.
