Christian Benteke has claimed that Aston Villa are reaping the benefits of his partnership with Gabriel Agbonlahor as they continue their bid to avoid relegation.
The Belgian scored the winning goal in a vital 1-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend, and the striker believes that Tim Sherwood's decision to switch to two in attack has been key.
"He said to the team we have to play to our strengths, to play with me and Gabby," Benteke, who has scored four goals in his last three games, told reporters.
"He helped me to destroy the defenders, with two we're always better than one. I'm comfortable, it's a good partnership."
Villa turn their focus to the FA Cup semi-finals when they take on Liverpool at Wembley on Sunday.
