Aston Villa striker Darren Bent vows to work himself back into Paul Lambert's first-team plans.

Aston Villa striker Darren Bent has admitted that he is 'unhappy' with his playing situation at the Premier League club.

The 28-year-old lost the captain's armband earlier this season and has also found himself on the substitute's bench in the past few weeks.

Villa boss Paul Lambert has insisted that there is no problem between the two, but the England striker has revealed his concerns.

"Any player who values himself wants to play week in, week out. In rotation it is hard to find a rhythm but it was the manager's decision. You have to live by that and you have to keep working hard," he told reporters.

Bent has scored three goals in nine games for Villa this season.
