Monaco striker Radamel Falcao has revealed that he believes Cristiano Ronaldo deserves the Ballon d'Or ahead of Lionel Messi.
The 27-year-old rivalled both players in La Liga prior to his move from Atletico Madrid to Monaco.
The Colombia international recognises both players as "important", but insists that Ronaldo just edges it for him.
"Messi and Cristiano are the two most important players in the world today but, for me, Ronaldo is the best," Falcao told El Tiempo.
The forward has also dismissed reports of a fall out with Claudio Ranieri, insisting that his spell on the sidelines was through injury.
"I had a physical problem and it was not convenient to play," he stated. "It was risky. It was not a serious injury, but it could have turned into something worse."
Falcao has been linked with a move away from the Ligue 1 club in the transfer window.
