Wolves 'agree loan move for Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez'

Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Kenny Jackett confirms that a verbal agreement to sign Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez on loan has been reached.

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Kenny Jackett has confirmed that a verbal agreement has been reached with Arsenal for the loan of goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.

Martinez was in the Arsenal squad for their Community Shield 1-0 win over Chelsea at the start of the month, but the Argentine has struggled to break into the first team.

With Petr Cech's arrival from Chelsea and David Ospina playing second fiddle, Martinez has been given permission to join the Championship club on a temporary basis.

Jackett confirmed the news this afternoon, and the club's official Twitter page added that he hopes to finalise the loan deal at some point today.
