William Saliba is reportedly planning to return to Arsenal this summer, in spite of links with a permanent switch to Marseille.
The centre-back was loaned out by Arsenal for the third time last summer and has become a key member of the Champions League-chasing Olympiens side under Jorge Sampaoli.
Saliba has made 20 starts in Ligue 1 for Marseille this season, and a recent report claimed that he could be open to a permanent move to the Orange Velodrome if Les Olympiens qualify for next season's Champions League.
However, football.london reports that the former Saint-Etienne man does indeed want to come back and prove himself at Arsenal after gaining bountiful top-flight and continental experience this season.
Mikel Arteta is thought to be preparing to integrate Saliba into the first team for the 2022-23 season, with Pablo Mari and Calum Chambers both widely expected to leave the club permanently this year.
Saliba's only appearances in an Arsenal shirt so far have come for the Under-23s, and the 20-year-old remains under contract at the Emirates until the summer of 2024.
