Arsenal's Carlos Vela finalises Real Sociedad transfer

Arsenal announce that striker Carlos Vela has made his move to Real Sociedad permanent for an undisclosed fee.

Arsenal have confirmed that striker Carlos Vela has completed a transfer to Real Sociedad.

The 23-year-old, who moved to the Emirates in 2005, has failed to make his mark in the Gunners' first team and only managed to rack up 11 goals for the North London side.

The frontman, who spent last season on loan at the Spanish club, has made his move permanent for an undisclosed fee following an Arsenal career which has been marred by injuries.

As well as Sociedad, Vela spent loan stints at Osasuna and West Bromwich Albion.
