Tottenham Hotspur are to rival Roma and neighbours Arsenal for the signing of wantaway Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez, according to a report.
The Algeria international has so far been left frustrated in his attempt to depart the King Power Stadium, as Roma's initial bid was rejected earlier this month.
An improved offer is expected to be made by the Italian outfit, while Arsenal have also shown a strong interest due to a failure to agree a price with AS Monaco for attacker Thomas Lemar.
The Sun claims that Tottenham, still yet to get off the mark with the arrival of any players during the off-season, have now become the latest side to have shown an interest in the 26-year-old.
Spurs are said to have used the lure of Champions League football - something rivals Arsenal cannot offer - to attract Mahrez, who contributed directly to six Premier League goals from out wide last term.
