Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel says that Tammy Abraham will be in the squad for Saturday's clash with Crystal Palace but could still leave this summer.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has said that Tammy Abraham will be in the squad for Saturday's clash with Crystal Palace, but the striker could still leave Stamford Bridge this month.

Abraham's future has been the subject of much speculation in recent days, with Arsenal and Roma thought to be competing for his signature during this summer's transfer window.

When questioned on the England international during Friday's pre-match press conference, Tuchel said that there was currently "no news" but admitted that a departure was a possibility.

"There are always possibilities that players leave us, especially in the same position. The situation for Tammy is clear, it has been discussed. At the moment there is no news. We have a good relationship, he is in the squad for tomorrow," Tuchel told reporters.

Abraham struggled for regular action in the second half of the 2020-21 campaign and was an unused substitute in the UEFA Super Cup against Villarreal on Wednesday night.

Romelu Lukaku's arrival is likely to push the forward further down the pecking order, meanwhile, which could see him seek pastures new over the next couple of weeks.
