Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly consider making a bid for Arsenal winger Theo Walcott on the advice of Andre Villas-Boas.

Andre Villas-Boas will reportedly instruct Tottenham Hotspur bosses to make a shock bid for Arsenal winger Theo Walcott once he is confirmed as the new manager at White Hart Lane.

Walcott has one year remaining on his contract with the Gunners and it had been rumoured that Chelsea were preparing an offer for the 23-year-old.

Villas-Boas, who is expected to be unveiled by Spurs this week, is a long-term admirer of Walcott and considered making a move for him during his time in charge at Stamford Bridge, according to the Daily Express.

Walcott has scored three goals in his last three appearances against Tottenham.
